Armie Hammer Frontrunner for Finnick

Lainey Gossip is now reporting that Armie Hammer is the frontrunner for the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire:

E! News reported the other day that Taylor Kitsch, Garrett Hedlund, and Armie Hammer were on the short list to play Finnick in Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games. Multiple sources tell me that Armie Hammer is far and away the first choice of director Francis Lawrence. That if it were up to him and “if he could start tomorrow with his dream cast, Armie would be Finnick”

This is in no way confirmed but it is worth noting that Lainey was one of the first sites to report on Jennifer Lawrence’s frontrunner status for Katniss Everdeen last year. Armie is perhaps the most popular choice among Hunger Games fans and quite frankly if he gets it I’ll be pretty happy!

What do you think about Armie as Finnick? Let us know in the comments box below?

  1. Garret Hedlund is 71929294635292028 times better than Hammer as Finnick

Armie Hammer FTW. I don’t understand why anyone thinks Garrett is attractive. He looks stoned 99% of the time and like he smells of stale ciggies.
