‘The Mortal Instruments’ Character Posters Alec and Isabelle Lightwood

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has released some gorgeous character posters featuring Alec and Isabelle Lightwood.

Alec and Isabelle play a key role in the series as Jace’s adopted family. Jace and Alec are parabatai, nephilum warriors that are closer than brothers. Alec is not a fan of how Jace begins to act once he meets Clary. Isabelle is only slightly more friendly to Clary, believing at first that Clary is only a mundane.

The first book in Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments, titled City of Bones, introduces us to Clary Fray and the Shadowhunter world. Lily Collins is set to play Clary, while Jamie Campbell Bower is set to play Jace. Joining them in the Shadowhunter world will be Robert Sheehan, Jemima West, Kevin Zegers, and Godfrey Gao. The screenplay was written by I. Marlene King, the script writer for Pretty Little Liars, and Jessica Postigo. The film is set for release on August 23, 2013.

  1. I love these posters! I thought they did a great job choosing actors for these two parts.

I just did a Halloween costume post on my blog for Isabelle Lightwood. Check it out here:
