New ‘Catching Fire’ Pic: Shirtless Finnick gives Katniss a sugar cube

Following the awesome Catching Fire trailer shown at Comic-Con, Lionsgate has released a new still Monday morning featuring a shirtless Finnick played by Sam Claflin.The photo depicts Finnick handing a sugar cube – a memorable scene in the book by Suzanne Collins – over to Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence). “He offered me a sugar cube and asked to know all my secrets,” goes Katniss in the book.

The Hunger Games: ‘Catching Fire’ on Instagram Teases Something Special

The Hunger Games is now on Instagram, and while this isn’t quite newsworthy in its own right, the only picture they have posted holds something to report on! They have teased that on May 14th something special is happening! What do you think it could be? Obviously it has to be a picture. But will it be a new picture from Catching Fire or a picture of some kind of news? The upcoming film Catching Fire based on Suzanne Collins’ second novel in her trilogy, stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Sam Claflin, and Jena Malone. It hits theaters on November 22nd, 2013.

Another Capitol Couture Portrait Unveils Finnick Odair

Today we’ve had Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne’s portraits unveiled and to top off this day of eye candy we have Finnick Odair played by Sam Claflin! He is a tribute from District 4 who originally won his Hunger Games when he was just 14 years old. He gives Katniss the impression that he is a vain flirt who enjoys the attention that his victory gave him but we will see deeper into his character in the following movies.
